Fit & Fix is an Egyptian automotive aftermarket retail and service chain, specialising in the sale, fitting, and servicing of tyres, batteries, motor oils, accessories and mechanical services for consumer and commercial vehicles. Fit & Fix has operated across Egypt since 2002 and is owned by Nile Projects & Trading Company (NPTCO), an Egyptian family owned company founded in 1972.^[1]

Fit & Fix serves as the consumer retail arm of NPTCO's automotive division, which holds the exclusive rights to import and distribute Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton, Westlake, Starmaxx and Linglong tyres amongst other products in Egypt.^[2] As of 2025, the chain operates more than 70 service centres strategically located in major cities across Egypt, complemented by an e-commerce platform and a fleet of mobile service vans and scooters.^[3]

Fit & Fix is positioned as one of Egypt's largest and most widely recognised automotive service chains, with a presence in Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, and numerous other governorates.^[4]

Fit & Fix traces its corporate roots to Nile Projects & Trading Co. (NPTCO), founded in 1972 by Ossama El-Naggar as a family business focusing its core activity on the importation and distribution of major international tyre brands.^[5]

NPTCO became the full distributor for Bridgestone products in Egypt during the 1980s. When Bridgestone subsequently acquired the Firestone brand, the exclusive Egyptian distribution rights for Firestone were also transferred to NPTCO.^[5] Throughout the 1990s the company operated principally as a wholesaler, supplying a broad network of tyre dealers and distributors throughout the country.^[5]

In 2002, NPTCO launched the Fit & Fix retail brand by inaugurating its first two service centres, marking the company's move from wholesale distribution into direct consumer retail.^[5] The transition enabled NPTCO to control the full supply chain — from exclusive importation to end-consumer fitting services.

The same year, NPTCO was awarded recognition as best agent and distributor by Bridgestone Middle East and Africa for 2010, underscoring the strength of the partnership that underpins the retail chain.^[5]

Since its founding, Fit & Fix has grown steadily to encompass more than 70 service centres and showrooms across Egypt.^[1] The chain spans nearly every major city and governorate, including multiple locations in Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Tanta, Zagazig, Sohag, Faiyum, and Obour City, among others.^[4]

In parallel with its physical expansion, Fit & Fix introduced an e-commerce platform allowing customers to browse, select, and purchase products online, as well as a mobile service van programme delivering tyre installation and automotive services directly to customers' locations — described by the company as "the first of its kind" tyre e-commerce offering in Egypt.^[6]

Fit & Fix offers a broad range of automotive products and services for passenger cars and light trucks. Core product categories include tyres, car batteries, motor oils, automotive accessories and spare parts.^[1]

In-centre services include tyre fitting and balancing, computer wheel alignment, tyre nitrogen inflation, battery testing and replacement, car washing, and general quick-maintenance services.^[7] The chain accepts multiple payment methods including major credit cards, instalment schemes, and online payment gateways through partnership with several Egyptian banks and financial service providers.^[3]

Fit & Fix operates through three primary customer-facing channels:

• Physical service centres — over 70 locations in high-traffic commercial areas and premium areas, sometimes co-located within major petrol station forecourts (such as TotalEnergies and Emarat Misr) and retail districts across Egypt.^[4]
• Online store — a full-featured e-commerce platform (fitandfix.com) with home delivery, online payment, and installation scheduling.^[3]
• Mobile service vans — a fleet that delivers and installs products, and provides automotive maintenance, at the customer's own premises.^[6]
• Mobile Battery Rescue Scooters(Jump Start) — a fleet that provides rescue services for car batteries

Fit & Fix operates a programme it designates as Eco Friendly, intended to reduce the environmental footprint of its operations. Key elements of the programme include the weekly collection of used tyres by specialist recycling partners.^[3]

The chain also recycles used automotive components — including batteries and oils — through specialist partners, and stocks a range of low rolling-resistance tyres from Bridgestone and other manufacturers intended to reduce vehicle fuel consumption.^[3]

Fit & Fix is owned by Nile Projects & Trading Co. S.A.E. (NPTCO), an Egyptian holding company incorporated in 1985 and headquartered in 6th of October, Giza. NPTCO operates across four broad divisions: Automotive (of which Fit & Fix is the consumer retail brand), Fashion, Real Estate, and Food & Beverage.^[8]

The automotive division holds sole Egyptian distribution rights for Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton, Westlake, Starmaxx and Linglong tyres, making NPTCO the country's largest tyre and accessories importer and distributor.^[9]

The fashion division, Nile Fashion retail, holds master-franchise agreements in Egypt and North Africa for international brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Calvin Klein, Charles & Keith, and Ralph Lauren, among others.^[10]

Fit & Fix operates a business model broadly comparable to specialised automotive fast-fit and tyre retail chains found in other markets:

• Speedy (France) — a European fast-fit automotive service brand with a large network of service points across France and neighbouring countries.
• Pit Stop (Germany) — an automotive service chain operating across Germany, offering tyre fitting, brakes, and exhaust services.

Like these international counterparts, Fit & Fix combines tyre retail with a broad menu of quick automotive maintenance services, exclusive supply relationships with leading tyre manufacturers, and an emphasis on convenience through physical network density and, increasingly, digital and mobile service channels.
