Enzo Roff is a South African-born British video artist known for high‑resolution moving still‑life works that combine minimal motion with painterly lighting. His practice focuses on looped video compositions that evoke the stillness of classical painting while introducing subtle temporal movement.
Roff was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He later relocated to the United Kingdom and trained as a lighting designer at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), a background that strongly informs his visual approach.
Roff produces ultra‑high‑definition video pieces characterised by controlled illumination, slow atmospheric motion, and a trompe‑l’œil aesthetic. His subjects include landscapes, still lifes, and interior scenes. His work draws influence from artists such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Edward Hopper, and Vilhelm Hammershøi.
Roff has exhibited internationally on screens, in galleries, and through digital art platforms. His work was included in the group exhibition Cross Pollination at The Atkinson Museum (2019–2020), which featured floral‑themed works from the Arts Council Collection.
Roff’s digital artworks are available through platforms including Sedition Art and Artpoint.
