EduRev (short for Education Revolution) is an online learning platform focused on school education and competitive examination preparation in India. The platform offers learning resources for school education and major Indian competitive examinations, operating on a subscription-based pricing model.^[1]

EduRev participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2020 batch and received funding from the accelerator. It has also been funded by angel investors such as Anand Chandrasekaran.^[2]

EduRev was started by Kunaal Satija & Hardik Dhamija as a platform for crowd-sourced educational content. Soon after starting out, the platform hosted thousands of documents and video lectures, contributed by registered users and teachers.^[3]

EduRev has been a part of the Winter 2020 batch of Y Combinator. Y Combinator listings show the company’s headquarters in Chandigarh, India.

The platform provides material for school students from Classes 1 to 12, primarily aligned with Indian education boards. It also offers preparation material for competitive exams.^[4]

The platform incorporates social learning elements, including discussion forums and user interaction features.^[5] According to media reports, EduRev’s user base largely consists of learners in the 12–24 age group. ^[6]

EduRev has been featured in multiple newspapers. The platform has received several industry recognitions, including Winner in the Learning and Education category at the mBillionth South Asia Awards, 2018.^[7] and selection for early-stage startup programs such as Facebook’s FBStart initiative.^[8]
