  • Comment: This draft is written from the viewpoint of the company, focusing on what the company says about itself. Corporate notability is based on what independent reliable sources have written about the subject.
Not every business corporation is notable, and this draft does not establish corporate notability. You may ask for advice about corporate notability at the Teahouse.Seeing WP:PASSING or WP:ROUTINE coverage. Nothing to suggest inherint notability of the corporation. Thank you for declaring the COI, please respond on your talk page and clarify if the nature of the COI is paid, and follow the instructions for declaring there. Corbado is a German software company based in Munich that develops a passkey observability and adoption platform. The platform is designed to help organizations monitor and increase the use of passkeys in their existing authentication systems.[1][2]

History

Corbado was founded in February 2022 by Kostas Pyliouras, Stefan Becker, Martin Kellner, and Vincent Delitz.[3][4]

In 2023, Corbado was named as one of ten sample vendors in the FIDO category of the Gartner Hype Cycle for Digital Identity, alongside Apple, Google, and Okta.[5] In 2025, Gartner again recognized Corbado as a selected vendor for multidevice passkeys in its Hype Cycle for Digital Identity, and referenced the company in its report on customer authentication UX.[6]

Technology

Corbado's software integrates with existing identity providers and provides analytics on authentication flows.[7] It supports FIDO2-based credentials including synced passkeys, hardware security keys, and NFC smart cards.[1] The platform does not replace an organization's identity provider but adds an observability layer on top of it.[8]

Corbado is a member of the FIDO Alliance.[9]

Deployments

In 2024, VicRoads, an agency of the government of Victoria, Australia, deployed passkeys to approximately five million users using Corbado's platform, achieving an 80 percent activation rate.[10][11] The FIDO Alliance presented the deployment as one of six global examples of successful passkey implementations on World Passkey Day 2025, alongside deployments by Microsoft and Samsung.[12] The project was recognized at the CIO50 2025 awards.[13]
