This next-generation equipment profile includes the development of the Long March 10 heavy-lift launch rocket, the Mengzhou crew transport module, and the Lanyue human lunar lander platform.[3] The baseline exploration profile relies on a dual-launch architecture, where the lander vehicle and the crew transport craft are launched separately into lunar orbit prior to performing autonomous docking maneuvers in orbit.[1]
