Bruce Jaffe is an American business executive and investor. He is known for his roles at Microsoft, where he held senior positions in corporate development and finance, and at Donuts Inc., where he served as chief executive officer. He is the founder of J4 Ventures. He received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jaffe joined Microsoft in 1995 as part of the company's corporate strategy group.^[1] He later served as general manager of corporate development, where he focused on strategic partnerships, investments, and mergers and acquisitions. He subsequently served as Corporate Vice President and chief financial officer of Microsoft's MSN division, overseeing the financial operations of the company's online services business.^[2] In 2005, he represented Microsoft in the restructuring of the MSNBC cable news channel, under which NBC Universal acquired a controlling interest in the network.^[3] Jaffe later returned to corporate development as Corporate Vice President, where he led Microsoft's mergers and acquisitions activity. During his tenure the company completed more than 40 acquisitions.^[4] In 2007, Jaffe delivered a keynote address at the Red Herring Global conference in Seattle, where he discussed Microsoft's acquisition strategy and defended the company's $15 billion valuation of Facebook.^[5] In 2008, Jaffe departed Microsoft after more than twelve years with the company. His exit was reported by The Wall Street Journal,^[6] InformationWeek,^[7] CNET,^[8] and InfoWorld.^[9]

In January 2017, Jaffe was named chief executive officer of Donuts Inc., a domain registry operator focused on new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) under the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) program, succeeding co-founder Paul Stahura.^[10] In 2017, Donuts acquired Rightside Group Ltd., a publicly traded domain name services company, in a transaction valued at approximately $213 million.^[11] In November 2017, Deloitte named Donuts the fastest growing technology company in North America on its annual Technology Fast 500 list, ranking the company first based on revenue growth of more than 59,000 percent between 2013 and 2016.^[12] In 2018, Donuts agreed to be acquired by Abry Partners, a private equity firm.^[13]

Jaffe is the founder of J4 Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies.

Jaffe has served on the board of RealNetworks, where he served as lead independent director.^[14][15]
