Bill Slott is an Israeli-American author, tour guide, publicist, and educator. He has recently published his first book, titled Israel Rediscovered. For the past decade, he has published editorials in the blog section of the Times of Israel online magazine. The book is a summary of over fifty of the editorials he has written over the years, which focus on different sites in Israel that are worth visiting but are less known to the tourist population.
Bill was born on September 19, 1969, in Bethesda, Maryland, US, to his parents Lois and Irve Slott. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Cornell University. During his early twenties, he immigrated to Israel to join a small Kibbutz in the southern Arava called Ketura. He has lived in Kibbutz Ketura ever since, and in 1996 became a certified tour guide.
Bill Slott is married and has three daughters. He speaks fluent English and Hebrew, and basic Arabic.
