Bed Maker is a Washington, DC post-punk band formed during the summer of 2019 by bassist Arthur Noll (Light Beams, Kid Congo Powers, Alarms & Controls) and drummer Vin Novara (The Crownhate Ruin, 1.6 Band, Alarms & Controls). They invited guitarist Jeff Barsky (Insect Factory, Time Is Fire) to join and start collaborating. Amanda MacKaye (Desiderata, Routineers) later joined them as a vocalist, and played their first show in February of 2020 at DC's Rhizome. They stopped playing shows the following month as the COVID-19 pandemic started, and resumed playing shows in November of 2022.[1]
