Audilab is a French network of hearing care centers specializing in auditory solutions and hearing aid technologies. It was founded in Tours in 1985 by Benoît Roy.[1][2]

History

Audilab was founded in 1985 in Tours, France by audiologist Benoît Roy,[3] who opened the first Audilab centre which expanded later with locations in Blois and Le Mans[according to whom?] in the late 1980s.[4][5]

In 2018, Audilab inaugurated its new headquarters in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Centre-Val de Loire.[6] In December 2019, the Danish group Demant received approval from the French Competition Authority to acquire exclusive control of Audilab and its subsidiaries; the deal was authorised under the condition that several local centres be divested to preserve competition, and Demant completed the acquisition of its stake in Audilab in early January 2020.[7][8]

In 2024, Audilab opened 18 additional hearing centers in France,[1] bringing its total network to more than 300 stores nationwide.[9]

As of 2025, the network includes 77 affiliated hearing aid specialists and 102 salaried practitioners, with a total staff of around 550 employees,[10] and 400 centres across France.[11]

Recognition

Audilab was ranked first in the Capital magazine's Best Brands ranking for service quality in the Hearing Aids category in both 2025 and 2026.[12][13]
