Anna Kristina Lillestøl Naustdal (born 2004), known professionally as Anna Lille, is a Norwegian indie-pop singer and songwriter from Nordfjordeid, Vestland. She first gained national prominence in 2016 as the co-winner of the televised music competition Melodi Grand Prix Junior. As a solo artist, her work has been nominated for the Spellemannprisen and the international Music Moves Europe (MME) Awards.
Naustdal was born and raised in Nordfjordeid, Norway. She became active in the local music scene at a young age, participating in choirs and the municipal culture school. In 2016, at the age of 12, she partnered with her friend Vilde Hjelle to form the duo Vilde og Anna. The pair won the Norwegian broadcasting corporation's (NRK) national Melodi Grand Prix Junior with their original, dialect-sung track "Vestlandet".[1] The song became a commercial success and established her early presence in the Norwegian music industry.
Following the conclusion of the duo's projects, Naustdal transitioned into a solo career, adopting the stage name Anna Lille. In the autumn of 2023, she released her debut solo single, "Stealing the Scene", which she co-wrote with Haley Shea of the Norwegian punk rock band Sløtface.[2] The release received positive reviews from the national press and secured heavy rotation on NRK P1 and P3 radio channels.
Subsequently signing with the independent label Propeller Recordings, Lille released her debut extended play (EP), I Know This Girl, in early 2024. Throughout the year, she established herself on the national live circuit, performing at major Norwegian music festivals including by:Larm, Bergenfest, and the Malakoff Rockfestival in her hometown of Nordfjordeid.[3]
Her critical success in 2024 led to significant industry recognition. She was nominated for the Spellemannprisen (often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards) and was named "Breakthrough of the Year" at the Norwegian Music Publisher's Award.[4] Internationally, she was selected as a nominee for the Music Moves Europe (MME) Awards.[5] In 2025, she released her debut studio album, How did I let this get so serious?.
Anna Lille's musical style is primarily categorized as indie pop, characterized by acoustic guitar foundations and deeply personal songwriting. Music critics and broadcasters have frequently compared her sound and lyrical vulnerability to international singer-songwriters such as Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift, and Lizzy McAlpine.[6]
