Anna Kelly (born 1996 or 1997) is an American political adviser serving as the White House principal deputy press secretary since 2026. She previously served as national press secretary of the Republican National Committee from October 2023 to November 2024 and as White House deputy press secretary from January 2025 to 2026.

Early life and education

Anna Kelly was born in 1996 or 1997,[1] and was raised in Fairfax, Virginia.[2] In 2017, she attained a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Auburn University; in 2021, she graduated from George Washington University with a Master of Professional Studies in political management.[3][2]

Career

Kelly was the Republican National Committee (RNC)'s Wisconsin communications director from November 2019 to November 2020; in January 2021, she became the Wisconsin Republican Party's communications director, serving in the role until August 2022.[3] In January 2023, Kelly began working for U.S. representative Derrick Van Orden as his communications director, and by October of that year, she was the RNC's national press secretary.[3][1]

Kelly was a spokesperson for Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.[4] She worked in the White House Office of the Press Secretary as White House deputy press secretary from January 2025 until 2026, when she succeeded Harrison Fields as White House principal deputy press secretary.[3][1]

Personal life

Kelly is a singer, and has won two beauty pageants.[2]
