Andy Pitcher (born April 6th, 1995), is a Brooklyn-based American musician. He specializes in electronic and acoustic guitar music. He started young, tinkering with the guitar as a child, and playing Double bass in middle school.[1]
He released his first solo album, Dot, on April 4th, 2025. The album focuses on his complex feelings about life following the death of his parents and how life had subsequently changed.[2] Dot was featured in an episode of Premier Guitar's 100 Guitarists, where they described the album as "a big vision, a very bold first album" that is perfect for anyone who likes forward-thinking guitar music. Andy is described as "a wizard of pedals, specifically a wizard of the Line 6 DL4".[3]
Andy was featured in Premier Guitar's 10 Young Guitarists to Know in 2022, placing first on the list.
"Pitcher reaches beyond the common uses of gear to dig deep, displaying how a piece inspires him to find new sounds within his own self-described “weird style.”"[4]
On June 27th, 2025, Andy starred on Guitar for Introverts with Jamie Stillway: Episode 7. Here, Andy shared some fond memories from his early days in music and his connection to his late father through music.
"My mom put on me that it would be a good way to posthumously connect with my dad. This love for music we shared was never an action item, so in a way, the guitar got to take up some of that space and that loss. It became my total obsession..."[5]
