Allen Floyd Perry (born December 2, 1981) is an American entrepreneur and author based in Harlem, New York. He is the founder of Alternative Education LLC and the creator of Hip-Hop 4 Freshmen, a book and educational program focused on entrepreneurship and financial literacy through hip-hop culture.

Early life and education

Perry attended All Hallows High School in the Bronx, New York.

He earned a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Scranton, where he also completed minors in business-related fields. He later earned two master's degrees from Full Sail University in Entertainment Business and Digital Marketing.

Career

Perry’s early career included work as a paralegal and as a licensed real estate agent. During this period, he also pursued music as an independent artist under the name K.O., performing at venues in New York City including B.B. King’s Blues Club in Times Square.

In 2007, he was featured in Vibe magazine following the release of a record that received industry recognition. He later established Rise & Grind Entertainment, an independent label through which he released his own music.

After relocating to Miami, Florida, Perry founded 411 Maid, a residential cleaning service company.[1]

He later worked in financial services in compliance roles at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., focusing on anti-money laundering (AML) compliance.

Alternative Education LLC

Perry founded Alternative Education LLC, an organization focused on entrepreneurship and financial literacy education.

He developed Hip-Hop 4 Freshmen, a book and curriculum designed to introduce business concepts through hip-hop culture.

The program has been implemented in New York City public schools, including Bronx Theatre High School and The Cinema School in the Bronx, New York.

According to The Industry Cosign, Perry has also worked with students at Brooklyn Technical High School, where his book was used to introduce financial literacy and entrepreneurship concepts.[2]
