The Aberdeen Lizards were an American Grunge band originally formed in New Hyde Park, NY, founded by Pasquale Rollo and Louis Maiolica in 1994. They released one album on the indie label Street Records^[1] in 1999.

The band was founded by Pasquale Rollo and Louis Maiolica along with high school friends as a four piece, then later re-formed as a power trio with bassist John Santos, then replaced Joshua Lozano in 1995 when John Santos had left the group to pursue his own music. The group played various clubs in Queens, New York and New York City including Pyramid Club and CBGB throughout 1996 to 2000. In the Spring of 1996, they set up an acoustic performance for the Foo Fighters in the back of the Roseland Ballroom in which they were watching from the rooftop.^[2] The band successfully tossed a demo tape up to them. Later that year the lead singer Pasquale Rollo can been seen during a video taping of the Foo Fighters performance at Virgin Megastore where Dave Grohl gives a shout out to the band when recognizing him from the audience.^[3]

In the years to follow the band played outdoor venues around New York City including Washington Square Park. In the summer of 1998, Louis Maiolica was replaced by drummer Frank Cifarelli and played at various events including the 1998 and 1999 CMJ Music Festival at CBGB where they met front man of the rock group Eurogression^[4] and owner of Street Records^[1] who took an interest in them. The band signed a contract early in 1999 to record their debut album Begin Anew which unfortunately was never distributed due to lack of funding.

The band then went on to play regularly at CBGB and made their television debut on NGK Global Japan TV^[5] featuring a segment on CBGB owner Hilly Krystal. Later in 1999 the band performed at CBGB as the opening act for the band Verbena featuring Dave Grohl on bass.

The band then went on to play up until their break-up in 2000.
