Dante Henderson (born 1969 in Kansas City), also known as Dante Lamar Henderson,[1] is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, model, and actor.
Henderson and his family moved to California when he was two years old. He studied at Hollywood High School before receiving a scholarship to the California Institute of the Arts.
Henderson began his professional career as a dancer in 1991, collaborating with Debbie Allen on the 63rd Academy Awards.[2] He went on to dance in and assist Allen with the 64th and 65th Academy Awards shows.[3][4] He has also worked alongside artists such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Jason Mraz, TLC, and Mary J. Blige.[5] He has choreographed and assisted with music videos and live stage shows for Deborah Cox, Erin Hamilton, Shaggy, Janet Jackson, Kristine W, and Niki Harris.
As a model, Henderson posed for Herb Ritts in a Levi's campaign which was shot in Africa. He also worked as a go-go dancer in Tokyo during the 1990s.[6]
Henderson has worked in movies with Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, and Rob Schneider. His movie credits include I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, These Old Broads, and Gun Shy.
