DJ Rectangle is an American DJ, turntablist, and record producer within the dance, hip hop, and club music.

Education and early career

He attended San Diego State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

In 1993, DJ Rectangle won the U.S. DMC Championship and the International DJ Search, which led to his role as the official DJ for rapper Warren G. As part of this collaboration, he toured with Warren G on the Regulate tour and made appearances on television programs such as Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Jon Stewart Show, Late Night with David Letterman, MTV Spring Break, and the UK's Top of the Pops.

Career

DJ Rectangle has toured with other artists, including R. Kelly, Heavy D, Montell Jordan, Monica, Bone Thugs n Harmony, and Ice Cube. He has performed with Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, The Lady of Rage, Foxy Brown, Tha Dogg Pound, The Luniz, Ron Isley, and others.

He has released an extensive set of battle records, which are used by many DJs to compete in DMC World Championships.

DJ Rectangle has produced records that have sold over 2 million copies,[1] including releases by Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Dirt Nasty, Mala Rodríguez, and Xzibit. Additionally, he has produced tracks used on television shows such as E! True Hollywood Story and Saturday Night Live, during the airing of Super Bowl XLIII, and in films including Set It Off (1996), Fakin' da Funk (1997), The Big Hit (1998), and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005).[citation needed]
