Coco Robotics is an American robotics company that develops sidewalk delivery robots for last-mile food and retail deliveries. The company operates fleets of small electric delivery robots in several cities.[1][2]
History
Coco Robotics was founded in 2020 by UCLA students Zach Rash and Brad Squicciarini. Operating originally as Cyan Robotics, the company began delivering food with its robots in Los Angeles in February 2020 before adopting the name Coco.[1][3]
In August 2021, Coco raised $36 million in a Series A round led by Sam Altman, Silicon Valley Bank, and Founders Fund to expand its robot fleet into additional cities.[1] That December, the company agreed to a manufacturing partnership with Segway to build a new generation of delivery robots.[4]
By December 2024, Coco had expanded to Chicago.[5] In April 2025, DoorDash widened its partnership with Coco to hundreds of merchants.[6]
In June 2025, Coco raised $80 million from investors, bringing its total funding to more than $160 million.[2][7][8]
In February 2026, Coco launched a new robot, Coco 2, built with Nvidia hardware and software, including the Jetson Orin NX computing platform and the Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab simulation tools.[9]
Operations
Coco's robots make short-distance deliveries.[1][10] The company has partnered with delivery companies such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.[9][10][11]
