Chiaki Kanahama (金濱 千明, Kanahama Chiaki), better known mononymously by her ring name Chiaki (CHIAKI (プロレスラー), Chiaki), is a Japanese professional wrestler currently performing in the Japanese promotion Dream Star Fighting Marigold where she is currently one half of the Marigold Twin Star Champions alongside Nagisa Nozaki. She is previously known for her short tenure with Actwres girl'Z.[3][4]

Professional wrestling career

Actwres girl'Z (2021–2024)

Kanahama made her professional wrestling debut at AWG Color's on November 20, 2021, where she teamed up with Miku Aono in a losing effort against Mari and Natsuki.[5] At AWG ACTwrestling Step 19 on May 28, 2023, she unsuccessfully challenged Aono for the AWG Single Championship.[6] She wrestled her last match in the promotion on April 14, 2024, at AWG ACTwrestling Step 39 where she teamed up with "Beastz Rebellion" stablemate Act in a three-way tag team match won by Teppen (Misa Matsui and Naho Yamada) and also involving Update Plus (Asako Mia and Mii).[7]

Dream Star Fighting Marigold (2024–present)

In April 2024, Kanahama was announced as part of the newly created promotion of Dream Star Fighting Marigold. At the inaugural event, the Fields Forever from May 20, she fell short to Mirai in singles competition.[8] At Marigold Summer Destiny on July 13, she established the tag team of "Dark Wolf Army" alongside Nagisa Nozaki as they debuted as a team with a victory against Myla Grace and Zayda Steel.[9] Chiaki and Nozaki competed in the inaugural tournament for the Marigold Twin Star Championship in which they defeated Rea Seto and Komomo Minami in the first rounds, then fell short to MiraiSaku (Mirai and Mai Sakurai) in the second ones.[10]

At Summer Gold Shine on August 19, she teamed up with Bozilla, Myla Grace and Zayda Steel to wrestle Kizuna Tanaka, Mirai, Utami Hayashishita and Victoria Yuzuki in a time-limit draw.[11] Kanahama competed in the "Star League" Block of the Dream★Star GP where she wrestled against Mai Sakurai, Sareee, Nanae Takahashi, Bozilla, Miku Aono, Kizuna Tanaka and Misa Matsui.[12] On the first night of the Marigold Fantastic Adventure 2024 from October 7, she fell short to Misa Matsui in singles competition.[13] On the second night of the event from October 24, she teamed up with Myla Grace to defeat Komomo Minami and Minami Yuuki.[14] On the second night of the Marigold Winter Wonderful Fight 2024 from December 13, she teamed up with Nagisa Nozaki to defeat Mirai and Mai Sakurai for the Marigold Twin Star Championship.
