Burning Body (Spanish: El cuerpo en llamas) is a 2023 Spanish crime television miniseries written by Laura Sarmiento and directed by Jorge Torregrossa [es] and Laura Mañá. It stars Úrsula Corberó, Quim Gutiérrez, and José Manuel Poga.

Plot

Set in 2017, the plot is a fictionalisation of the real Crime of the Guàrdia Urbana [ca]. When the burned body of Pedro, a cop, is found in the Foix reservoir [es] near Barcelona, the plot delves into the tangle of toxic relationships, cheating, violence and sex scandals involving Pedro and two fellow agents (Rosa and Albert).[1]

Burning Body is an Arcadia Motion Pictures production.[1] Shooting lasted from September to October 2022 and it took place in Barcelona.[3]

Release

The limited series debuted on Netflix on 8 September 2023.[3]
