Bruno Mars: Live in Brazil was a promotional tour by American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars. Spanning fourteen dates across five cities in Brazil, it began on October 4, 2024, in São Paulo, and concluded on November 5, 2024, in Belo Horizonte. The tour was promoted by Live Nation, Santander Brasil and Budweiser.[1]
Background and development
After the great success of two performances at "The Town Festival", in September 2023, in São Paulo, Brazil, and recording an exclusive video thanking Brazilians titled "Come to Brasil", Bruno Mars announced this exclusive tour for the largest South American country.[2][3]
On May 2, through its social networks, the producer Live Nation made the official announcement of the presentations. Initially, four shows were announced: October 4th in Rio de Janeiro, October 8th and 9th in São Paulo and October 17th in Brasília. Due to high demand, all four announced shows were sold out in less than 1 hour, which led the producer to subsequently announce 4 more performances: October 5th in Rio de Janeiro, October 12th and 13th in São Paulo and October 18th in Brasília.[4]
Until then, the biggest tour in Brazil by an international artist was by the Mexican group RBD, with 13 concerts on the Tour Generación RBD in 2006.[5] Mars breaks the record with 14 concerts, in 2024.
