Bo Gunnar Bjelfvenstam (born 24 April 1924) is a Swedish actor, film director and author.

Early life and career

Gunnar was born in April 1924 in Stockholm. He is the son of the director of studies Erik Bjelfvenstam and Karin Jacobsson and the brother of Björn Bjelfvenstam.^[1] Bjelfvenstam was educated at Uppsala University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1944 and after military service began working with students theater and film in Stockholm. Bo has made several documentaries, not least about Africa.^[2][3] He has also written books with a historical theme, including De ville so much, which deals with Swedish politicians from Karl XIV Johan to Olof Palme.^[4]

He married Dorothea Richard in 1960 and they had a son.^[5]
