Bigger Township is one of eleven townships in Jennings County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 664 (down from 726 at 2010^[1]) and it contained 272 housing units.^[2]

History

Bigger Township was established in 1840. It was named for Samuel Bigger, seventh Governor of Indiana.^[4]

Benville Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.^[5]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 30.74 square miles (79.6 km²), of which 30.69 square miles (79.5 km²) (or 99.84%) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km²) (or 0.16%) is water.^[1]
