Amalia Rubin is a Jewish American singer known for her Tibetan language songs and music.
Education
She studied international studies at Buffalo University and University of Washington. Her studies and subsequent career in international development brought her to Tibet and Mongolia where she became exposed to Mongolian and Tibetan music.[1]
Career
She performed in a Tibetan restaurant in Beijing and met Tibetan singer Kunga Phuntsok.[2] Her two albums, Mountains and Deserts and Leaving Home, are composed of traditional Tibetan songs. She has performed in 30 different concerts.
