    • More than 100 flood warnings are in place after heavy rain affects parts of the UK. A major incident is declared in Greater Manchester after some homes are left without running water and people are rescued from cars in floodwater.[1]

    • The Energy Price Cap rises by an average £21 per year, increasing the average annual gas and electricity bill £1,738.[3]
