This will be the first IKF World Cup edition post the COVID-19 pandemic. Like all of the previous three editions of the World Cup, it will take place in India.[2][3][4] The previous IKF Kabaddi World Cup events where held in 2004 in Mumbai, in 2007 in Panvel, and in 2016 in Ahmedabad.[1]

Star Sports will serve as the host broadcaster of the tournament.[4]
