Major League Baseball team season
The 2006 New York Mets season was the 45th regular season for the Mets. They went 97–65 and won the National League East , a feat the team would not repeat until 2015 . They were managed by Willie Randolph . They played home games at Shea Stadium . They used the marketing slogan of "The Team. The Time. The Mets." throughout the season. The Mets clinched their first NL East title since 1988 .
