Ο Καμίλο Τόρες (ισπαν.: Camilo Torres Restrepo, 3 Φεβρουαρίου 1929-15 Φεβρουαρίου 1966) ήταν Κολομβιανός σοσιαλιστής επαναστάτης, ιερέας της Ρωμαιοκαθολικής εκκλησίας στρατευμένος στο κίνημα της Θεολογίας της Απελευθέρωσης και μέλος του Εθνικού Απελευθερωτικού Στρατού (ELN).

Ο Καμίλο Τόρες, υποστηρίζοντας ότι "η βία προέρχεται από αυτόν που αφαιρεί την μπουκιά από το στόμα του φτωχού και όχι από αυτόν που αμύνεται να συντηρηθεί στη ζωή", σε όλη του τη ζωή προσπάθησε να συνδιάσει τη χριστιανική πίστη με την αριστερή επαναστατική δράση[10]. Μάλιστα, του αποδίδεται το γνωστό απόφθεγμα: "Αν ζούσε σήμερα Ιησούς, θα ήταν επαναστάτης"[11].

Βιογραφικά στοιχεία

Ο Τόρες, όντας χειροτονημένος ιερέας, αρχικά δίδαξε κοινωνιολογία στο Εθνικό Πανεπιστήμιο της Κολομβίας, όμως υποχρεώθηκε σε παραίτηση καθώς εκδήλωσε αλληλεγγύη σε κάποιους διωκόμενους κομμουνιστές φοιτητές[12]. Αρχικά συμμετείχε στο πολιτικό κίνημα του Ενιαίου Μετώπου του Λαού της Κολομβίας, ενώ αργότερα εντάχθηκε στο αντάρτικο του ELN. Σκοτώθηκε στην πρώτη του συμμετοχή σε μάχη, όταν ο ELN έστησε ενέδρα σε περίπολο του Κολομβιανού στρατού[13].
