Ο Ευάγγελος Κανόναρχος του Παναγιώτη (και Κανονάρχος, Θεσσαλονίκη, 1927 - 22 Δεκεμβρίου 1991)[3] ήταν Έλληνας πολιτικός, ο οποίος υπηρέτησε ως βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου από το 1974 ως το 1981.[4]

Βιογραφία

Ήταν γιος του συνταγματάρχη Παναγιώτη Χατζημηνά-Κανονάρχου που καταγόταν από το χωριό Όθος της Καρπάθου, ο οποίος είχε καταφύγει στη συμπρωτεύουσα διωγμένος από τους Ιταλούς. [5] Ο Ευάγγελος σπούδασε Ηλεκτρολόγος Μηχανολόγος στο Εθνικό Μετσόβειο Πολυτεχνείο. Μετά τη Μεταπολίτευση στις εκλογές του 1974 ήταν υποψήφιος βουλευτής με την νεοσύστατη Νέα Δημοκρατία και εξελέγη με 5.436 ψήφους. Επανεξελέγη στις εκλογές του 1977 και υπηρέτησε στη Βουλή ως το 1981. Στη διάρκεια της θητείας του έγιναν αρκετά έργα στην επαρχία Καρπάθου-Κάσου, όπως η δρομολόγηση του οχηματαγωγού "Έλλη", ασφαλτοστρώσεις, διανοίξεις δρόμων, ηλεκτροφωτισμοί, ενώ έγιναν ενέργειες για να ολοκληρωθεί το αεροδρόμιο της Καρπάθου και να κατασκευαστεί άλλο στην Κάσο.[5]

Μετά το θάνατό του (1991) ο Δήμος Καρπάθου αποφάσισε να δοθεί το όνομά του σε δρόμο του νησιού.[5]
