Ο Γκέοργκ Φιρστ (γερμ. Georg Fürst) (1870-1936) υπήρξε σημαντικός Γερμανός συνθέτης βαυαρέζικης στρατιωτικής μουσικής.

Βιογραφία

Γεννήθηκε στις 23 Μαρτίου 1870 στο Φόιχτβανγκεν της Βαυαρίας από μουσική οικογένεια. Έμαθε μουσική και διορίστηκε το 1889 ως τρομπετίστας στην στρατιωτική φιλαρμονική ορχήστρα του Βασιλικού Συντάγματος Ιππικού της Βαβαρίας (Königlich Bayerisches Infanterie-Leib-Regiment) στο Μόναχο. Εκεί αναδείχτηκε το μουσικό του ταλέντο και γι' αυτό πήρε υποτροφία για να σπουδάσει μουσική στο Μόναχο. Ακολούθησε μουσική επαγγελματική καριέρα σε επιφανείς στρατιωτικές φιλαρμονικές ορχήστρες της Βαυαρίας, και επέστρεψε στο Μόναχο τον Νοέμβριο του 1911 και έγινε ο δημοφιλέστερος διευθυντής στρατιωτικής μουσικής ορχήστρας. Τιμήθηκε με πολλά βραβεία. Απεβίωσε στις 5 Φεβρουαρίου 1936.
