Βουλευτικές εκλογές στο Ελ Σαλβαδόρ (2015)

Βουλευτικές και τοπικές εκλογές διεξήχθησαν στο Ελ Σαλβαδόρ την 1η Μαρτίου 2015 για την ανάδειξη 84 μελών της Νομοθετικής Συνέλευσης και 262 δημάρχων. Οι εκλογές διενεργήθηκαν υπό την αιγίδα του Ανώτατου Εκλογοδικείου.[1]

Διαδικασία

Η Νομοθετική Συνέλευση είναι μονοθάλαμη (Asamblea Legislativa) και αποτελείται από 84 αιρετά μέλη. Οι βουλευτές εκλέγονται άμεσα από το λαό για θητεία 3 ετών.[2] Οι προηγούμενες εκλογές είχαν διεξαχθεί στις 11 Μαρτίου 2012.[3] Στις εκλογές εκείνες, η αντιπολιτευόμενη Εθνικιστική Ρεπουμπλινακική Συμμαχία (ARENA) κέρδισε οριακά το Εθνικό Απελευθερωτικό Μέτωπο Φαραμπούντο Μαρτί (FMLN) και το σύμμαχό του, τον Μεγάλο Συνασπισμό για Εθνική Ενότητα (GANA). Ο ARENA εξασφάλισε το 2012 τις 33 έδρες έναντι 31 για το FMLN και 11 για τον GANA. Έπειτα από διάφορες αλλαγές, η κατανομή των εδρών το 2014 διαμορφώθηκε σε 31 και 28 αντίστοιχα για τον ARENA και το FMLN.[2]
