Ο Αλέκος Καγιάντας είναι έλληνας στιχουργός με καταγωγή από τη Χίο. Γεννήθηκε το 1944 στην Αλεξάνδρεια της Αιγύπτου. Σε ηλικία έξι χρόνων βρέθηκε στην Αθήνα. Τελείωσε το γυμνάσιο και στα 18 του έφυγε μετανάστης στο Μόναχο της Γερμανίας όπου δούλευε ως εργάτης και παράλληλα έγραφε κείμενα για τη Βαυαρική Ραδιοφωνία. Το 1970 άρχισε η συνεργασία του με τον Γιώργο Ζαμπέτα με το τραγούδι "Αυτοί που φεύγουν κι αυτοί που μένουν " Από το 1970 ως το 1978 γράφουν μαζί 52 τραγούδια "Αλητη" ,"Το γραμμα κι η φωτογραφία" "Το αδιέξοδο" "Δεν συμφωνήσαμε" "Όταν χαθείς στο δειλινό" "Σ αυτές τις στράτες" "Μη λυπηθείς" "Μάλιστα κύριε" και πολλά άλλα με ερμηνευτές τη Βίκυ Μοσχολιού, Δούκισσα, Μπέμπα Μπλανς, Μαρινέλλα, Τόλη Βοσκόπουλο, Σταμάτη Κοκκοτα, Γιάννη Πουλοπουλο, Ελένη Ροδά, Ρένα Κουμιώτη Αλεξάνδρα κα

Δεύτερος σταθμός στη στιχουργική του καριέρα ή συνεργασία του με τον Μπάμπη Πραματευτακη και καρπό αυτής της συνεργασίας το ολοκληρωμένο έργο "Ρωμηοι" (1973) και πολλά άλλα με ερμηνευτές τη Γεωργία Λογγου, Περικλή Περάκη Τζων Τίκη και άλλους.

Το 1972 εγκαταστάθηκε στην Αθήνα και το 1991 στη Θεσσαλονίκη όπου και απεβίωσε στις 9/10/2009
