Ο NGC 6286 είναι σπειροειδής γαλαξίας στον αστερισμό Δράκοντα. Κατατάσσεται ως Sb/P στο σύστημα μορφολογικής ταξινόμησης και τον ανακάλυψε ο Αμερικανός αστρονόμος Λιούις Α. Σουίφτ (Lewis A. Swift) στις 13 Αυγούστου 1885. Απέχει 240 εκατομμύρια έτη φωτός από τη Γη. Αλληλεπιδρά με τον γαλαξία NGC 6285 και οι δύο καταγράφονται ως Arp 293 στον Άτλαντα των περίεργων γαλαξιών[1][2][3][4]
