Ο Δήμος Ξυνιάδας ήταν δήμος του Νομού Φθιώτιδας που συστάθηκε με το πρόγραμμα Καποδίστριας από τη συνένωση παλαιότερων κοινοτήτων της περιοχής, που αποτέλεσαν στη συνέχεια τα δημοτικά διαμερίσματα του δήμου.[1] Λειτούργησε την περίοδο 1999-2010 οπότε και καταργήθηκε με την εφαρμογή του προγράμματος Καλλικράτης και εντάχθηκε στον νέο Δήμο Δομοκού. Βρισκόταν στα βόρεια του νομού και συνόρευε με τους δήμους Θεσσαλιώτιδας, Μακρακώμης, και Δομοκού καθώς και με τον Νομό Καρδίτσας. Ο δήμος αποτελούταν από οκτώ δημοτικά διαμερίσματα και είχε συνολικό πληθυσμό 4.396 κατοίκους. Έδρα του ήταν η Ομβριακή.

Ο δήμος περιλάμβανε τα παρακάτω δημοτικά διαμερίσματα και οικισμούς:

Δ.δ. Περιβολίου Δομοκού -- το Περιβόλι [ 539 ]

Ιστορία

Η αρχική σύσταση του Δήμου ήταν το 1883, όταν και ανήκε στο Νομό Λαρίσης, κατόπιν το 1899 στο Νομό Φθιώτιδος, το 1909 πάλι στο Νομό Λαρίσης, το 1911 στο Νομό Φθιώτιδος και Φωκίδος, όταν και το 1912 καταργήθηκε[2]
