Prosenina ist eine Zweiflüglergattung aus der Familie der Raupenfliegen (Tachinidae). Das Taxon wurde 1930 von dem schottischen Entomologen John Russell Malloch eingeführt.[1][2] Typusart ist Prosenina nicholsoni Malloch, 1930.[2] Die Gattung Prosenina gehört zur Tribus Dexiini innerhalb der Unterfamilie Dexiinae.

Merkmale

Malloch (1930) lieferte eine Beschreibung der Gattung anhand von Exemplaren der Typusart.[1] Bei Prosenina nicholsoni handelt es sich um 5–6,5 mm lange Fliegen.[1]

Verbreitung

Die Gattung Prosenina kommt in Australien und auf Tasmanien vor.[2]

Lebensweise

Die Vertreter der Gattung Prosenina sind Endoparasitoide. Wirte sind offenbar noch nicht bekannt.
