Mamire ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Babati in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Mamire ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im Norden von Tansania, der etwa 20 Kilometer Luftlinie nordöstlich der Regionshauptstadt Babati liegt.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 10.223 Menschen in 2230 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 76 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Osten an den Tarangire-Nationalpark, im Westen an den Distrikt Babati (TC) und sonst an zwei Bezirke des Distrikts Babati:[5]

Der Bezirk besteht aus drei Gemeinden (Swahili Mtaa) mit 13 Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[6]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7] Die Mamire Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule, die Jugendliche bis zur 4. Stufe ausbildet.[8]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: In der Gemeinde Mamire liegt ein staatliches Gesundheitszentrum.[9]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 3005 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 542 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 661 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 487 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[10]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 290 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 143 Geschäftslokale, 53 Warenlager, 48 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, gehören 34 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 5 Gewerbebetriebe, 4 Bürogebäude und je eines ist eine industrielle Anlage, ein Gästehaus und ein Hotel (Stand 2022).[11]
