Ganana ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Hanang in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Ganana ist ein städtischer Bezirk im Norden von Tansania. Er umfasst den nördlichen Teil der Distrikthauptstadt Katesh. Die Grenze im Süden bildet die Fernstraße T14.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 8378 Menschen in 2291 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von sechs Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt an zwei Bezirke des Distrikts Hanang:[5]

Der Bezirk besteht aus fünf Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[6]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7] Die Ganana Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule, die eine Ausbildung bis zur 4. Stufe anbietet.[8]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 1690 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 983 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 243 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 1050 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[9]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 164 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 74 Geschäftslokale, gehören 30 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 21 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 14 Bürogebäude, 6 Gewerbebetriebe, 5 Lagerhäuser, 5 Hotels und eines ist eine industrielle Anlage (Stand 2022).[10]
