William Dampier veröffentlichte 1697 den Reisebericht „A New Voyage Round The World“.
Einen Bericht über seine Reisen in Arnhemland und Dampierland lieferte der norwegische Zoologe Knut Dahl in seinem Buch mit einem umfangreichen naturkundlichen Teil.[4]
