Amphoe Mueang Kalasin (auf Thai: อำเภอเมืองกาฬสินธุ์) ist ein Landkreis (Amphoe – Verwaltungs-Distrikt) in der Provinz Kalasin. Die Provinz Kalasin liegt in der Nordostregion von Thailand, dem so genannten Isan.

Geographie

Der Landkreis liegt etwa 520 Kilometer nordöstlich von Bangkok entfernt.

Benachbarte Distrikte (von Norden im Uhrzeigersinn): die Amphoe Sahatsakhan, Somdet, Na Mon, Don Chan, Kamalasai, Khong Chai, Yang Talat und Nong Kung Si der Provinz Kalasin.

Geschichte

1913 wurde der Distrikt von Uthai Kalasin in Mueang Kalasin umbenannt.[1]
