Leben

Abraham Mellinger nahm an den Olympischen Spielen 1904 in St. Louis im Freistilringen an, dort im Weltergewicht. Nach einem Freilos traf er im Viertelfinale auf seinen Landsmann William Hennessy, der dank eines Schulterwurfs siegreich von der Matte ging.

Mellinger war Mitglied im New Yorker St. Bartholomew's Athletic Club. Weitere Einzelheiten aus seinem Leben, insbesondere in sportlicher Hinsicht, sind nicht bekannt.
