Tref yn Iwerddon yw Roscommon (Gwyddeleg: Ros Comáin),[1] sy'n dref sirol Swydd Roscommon, Gweriniaeth Iwerddon, yng nghanolbarth yr ynys. Enwir y dref ar ôl Sant Comáin (Coman). Poblogaeth: tua 5,000. Lleolir Castell Roscommon ger y dref.

Allforiwyd defaid Roscommon i Ben Llŷn rhwng 1810-15 gan Dishley Leicester o'r Iwerddon a Lloyd Edwards, Nanhoron a'i gyfaill Syr Watkin Williams-Wynn (Yr Arglwydd Mostyn), Ystâd Cefn Amwlch o Gymru. O fewn pedair blynedd o werthu'r ddafad i'w tenantiaid a'u bridio efo hwrdd Cymreig, roedd yr epil yn ddafad bur ac fe'i galwyd yn "ddafad Llŷn".[2] Maen nhw'n gweddu i dir gwastad y dyffryn yn ogystal â thir mynydd.[3]
