Pentref mawr a phlwyf sifil yng Ngorllewin Sussex, De-ddwyrain Lloegr, ydy Hassocks.[1] Fe'i lleolir yn ardal an-fetropolitan Canol Sussex. Saif y pentref o dan y Twyni Deheuol, tua 7 milltir (11 km) i'r gogledd o Brighton.

Yng Nghyfrifiad 2011 roedd gan y plwyf sifil poblogaeth o 7,667.[2]

Cyn adeiladu'r rheilffordd o Lundain i Brighton yn yr 1840au, dim ond casgliad o dai bach a gwesty oedd y setliad, mewn ardal wedi'i rhannu rhwng plwyfi Clayton a Keymer, ond tyfodd y pentref yn gyflym ar ôl agor gorsaf o'r enw "Hassocks Gate" ar 21 Tachwedd 1841. Ymhen amser, cafodd Clayton a Keymer eu hymgorffori i mewn plwyf sifil Hassocks.
