Newidion nhw eu henw i Green Day ym 1989 a disodlwyd Kiffmeyer gan Tré Cool ym 1990. Daeth y band i amlygrwydd gyda'u halbwm 1994 Dookie a werthodd 15 miliwn o gopïau byd-eang.
