Tynnu blew gan ddefnyddio llafn megis rasel yw eillio, siafio (gog.) neu siafo (de). Gan amlaf dynion sy'n eillio i dynnu blew'r wyneb, a menywod i dynnu blew'r goes a'r gesail. Dau brif ddull eillio yw eillio llaw, gyda rasel hir neu rasel ddiogel, ac eillio sych, gyda rasel drydanol.

Defnyddir gwahanol fathau o sebon eillio ar gyfer eillio. Gall y sebon fod ar ffurf bloc sebon, mewn disgyl, fel past o diwb neu ewyn parod o gan. Gellir hefyd credu sebon eillio personol gartref.[1]
