Adeilad y Bauhaus yn Dessau, a ddyluniwyd gan Walter Gropius.

Dinas yn nhalaith Sachsen-Anhalt yn nwyrain canolbarth yr Almaen yw Dessau. Saif ar gydlif Afon Mulde ac Afon Elbe, i'r gogledd-ddwyrain o Halle an der Saale. Codwyd y dref Almaenig ar anheddiad Sorbaidd, ac o 1213 mae'r cofnod cyntaf o Dessau. Trigai cowntiaid, tywysogion, a dugiaid Anhalt yn Dessau o 1603 hyd 1918.[1]

Symudodd y Bauhaus i Dessau o Weimar ym 1925, ac yno bu'r ysgol bensaernïol honno nes i'r Natsïaid ei chau ym 1933. Dynodwyd adeiladau Bauhaus y ddinas yn Safle Treftadaeth y Byd gan UNESCO ym 1996, a Gerddi Dessau-Wörlitz cyfagos yn 2000. Ymhlith ei feibion a merched o nod mae'r athronydd Moses Mendelssohn a'r arlunwyr Friederike Julie Lisiewska ac Angelika Tübke.
