Els entomoftoromicots (Entomophthoromycota) són una divisió o fílum del regne dels fongs (Fungi).[1] Moltes de les seves espècies són paràsites, sobre tot d'insectes.
Taxonomia
El fílum Entomophthoromycota, inclou dues classes:[1]
- Classe Neozygitomycetes
- Ordre Neozygitales
- Classe Entomophthoromycetes
- Ordre Entomophthorales
Algunes espècies
- Basidiobolus ranarum, un fong comensal de granotes i patogen dels mamífers.
- Conidiobolus coronatus,[2] un fong sapròfit de les fulles caigudes i patogen dels mamífers.
- Entomophaga maimaiga, un agent de biocontrol per algunes arnes.
- Entomophthora muscae, un patogen de la mosca comuna.
- Massospora spp., patògens de cigales periòdiques.
