Bathycongrus parapolyporus (Karmóvskaia, 2009)[13]

Bathycongrus és un gènere de peixos pertanyent a la família dels còngrids i a l'ordre dels anguil·liformes.[26] Bathycongrus prové del mot grec bathys (profund) i del llatí conger (congre).[27] Habita a la conca Indo-Pacífica[28] (des de l'Índic[29] fins a Indonèsia,[30] incloent-hi el sud de Moçambic,[31] Sud-àfrica,[32] l'illa de la Reunió,[33][34] el golf d'Aden,[35] el mar d'Aràbia,[36] el golf de Bengala,[37] les illes Andaman,[38] les illes Filipines,[39][40] el mar de la Xina Oriental,[41] la mar Groga,[42] el corrent de Kuroshio,[43] el mar del Japó,[44] el Japó,[45] el mar del Corall[46] i la Gran Barrera de Corall),[47] el Pacífic oriental central (les illes Hawaii[48] i des del sud del Canadà[49] i el golf de Califòrnia[50] fins a Xile,[51] incloent-hi Mèxic,[52] Panamà,[53] l'Equador[54] i el corrent de Humboldt),[50] l'Atlàntic occidental (des de Geòrgia (Estats Units),[49] el golf de Mèxic[55] i el mar Carib[56] fins a la desembocadura del riu Amazones,[57][58] incloent-hi Cuba)[59] i l'Atlàntic oriental[60] (des de Mauritània[61] fins a Angola,[62] incloent-hi els corrents de Canàries,[60] Benguela[60] i Guinea).[60]
