Arnald Plujà i Canals (Garriguella, 1947), mestre i geògraf,[1] és considerat un dels màxims coneixedors del Cap de Creus.[2] Com a historiador s'ha especialitzat en l'estudi del Cap de Creus, també ha participat en l'elaboració del Nomenclàtor oficial de toponímia major de Catalunya.[3]

El 2017 va rebre el premi Joan Saqués i Roca, de la Fundació Valvi per la seva contribució en el camp de la preservació, la conservació, la difusió o la restauració del patrimoni cultural i artístic de les comarques gironines.[4]
