Amniataba caudavittata és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels terapòntids.[1]

Descripció

  • Pot arribar a fer 30 cm de llargària màxima.[2][3]

Alimentació

És un omnívor bentònic: els joves mengen algues i petits crustacis, mentre que els exemplars més madurs es nodreixen principalment de poliquets.[3]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí, d'aigua dolça i salabrosa; bentopelàgic i de clima tropical.[2]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba al Pacífic occidental central: Austràlia[4][5] i Nova Guinea.[2]

Observacions

És inofensiu per als humans.[2]
