Sastav

Glavni su sastojci fenoli poput gvajakola,krezola,ksilenola i kreozola.

Historija i upotreba

Brezov je katran najstariji korišteni adheziv, smatra se da je proces star oko 200 000 godina.[1]. Studija iz 2019. godine pokazala je da se isti može proizvesti i jednostavnim spaljivanjem brezove kore u blizini vertikalnih glatkih površina.[2].

Katran se koristi u medicini te za izradu sredstava za njegu kože.[nedostaje referenca]
