রাস আল খাইমাহ

রাস আল খাইমাহ (আরএকে) (আরবি: رَأْس ٱلْخَيْمَة; ঐতিহাসিক জুলফার) হচ্ছে সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের রাস আল খাইমাহ আমিরাতের বৃহত্তম শহর ও রাজধানী। দুবাই, আবুধাবি, শারজাহ, আল আইন এবং আজমানের পর এটি সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের ষষ্ঠ বৃহত্তম শহর।

এই শহরটি একটি খাঁড়ি দ্বারা দুটি ভাগে বিভক্ত: পশ্চিমে পুরাতন শহর এবং পূর্বে আল নাখিল।[১] রাস আল খাইমাহ নামের অর্থ "তাঁবুর মূলভূমি";[২] নৌ-চলাচলের সুবিধার্থে সেখানে একটি তাঁবু নির্মিত হওয়ার পরে এই শহরটির এমন নামকরণ করা হয়।[৩]

অর্থনীতি

রাস আল খাইমাহ শহরটিতে রাস আল খাইমাহ অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল (আরএকেইজেড)-এর অবস্থানস্থল, যা বিনিয়োগকারী এবং আন্তর্জাতিক বাজারগুলিকে সংযোজন করেছে। এটি পোর্টাল ৩৬০ নামীয় একটি অনলাইন ক্লায়েন্ট পোর্টাল পরিচালনা করে থাকে।[৪] অঞ্চলটি ফ্রিল্যান্সার্স থেকে শুরু করে এসএমই এবং স্টার্ট আপ পর্যন্ত ৫০টি শিল্পকে পরিষেবা দেয়। আরএকেইজেডকে ছয়টি বিশেষায়িত অঞ্চলে বিভক্ত করা হয়েছে:[৫][৬]
